VW is really aggressive on pursueing fuel efficiency being directly connected to enhance environmental image like Toyota in Japan. I think this is the most effective way to go over Toyota as Toyota is successful in creating green image in their home market but not yet sufficient on global level.

Sharan's GVW, curb weight plus full passengers with full loading becomes 2510Kg which is stated in the Press release.
I am impressed that only 1.4litter TFSI can propel such heavy vehicle.
