Audi is testing the new S4 based on its new A4 shape, as evidenced by our pictures taken in cold northern Sweden. The four double tailpipes are typically latter-day Audi S, compared to the RS models whose signature huff pipes are oval and only add up to two.
Grille is different from the standard car with its off-colour surrounded by chrome. And what is that extra hole to the bottom left of the front grille?
Word on power is the trusted revvy 4.2-litre V8 FSI of 354 bhp/ 264kW. We sincerely hope it isn’t, that it hikes power up to over 390 bhp. This would make more sense since the next RS 4 will probably hit the 500 bhp mark. Audi S4 will be offered in sedan and Avant for 2009.
