Jaguar XF Receives 10,000 Deposits Globally
Jaguar XF

Including 3,000 from the U.S.

While the pending sale of Jaguar might have taken some of the attention away from their newest models, it appears the company has hit the sweet spot with the XF. Currently 10,000 deposits have been placed globally with 3,000 from the United States alone. Not bad considering Jaguar has yet to start an advertising campaign or make models available for consumer test drives.

Instead Jaguar used a 21-city road show to train whole dealerships at a time about the new XF. The dealers would then host posh events to show the Jaguar XF to loyal customers and individuals in the market for a luxury vehicle. One Miami dealership has already sold 80 orders in the course of two such events, while Detroit area Jaguar dealers have managed to sell 50.

The Jaguar XF will officially go on sale March 10 in North America, Europe, and the UK.

I hope it's a great success. Autoexpress have just declared it better than BMW 5 series or Mercedes E-class in a road test. The only medium executive saloon that is anywhere near as attractive is the CLS... Go Jaguar!

Without Ford there would be no XF, and whatever were instead it wouldn't handle like the XF does. Unless BMW was the boss.

I just saw one on in the Natick service area on the Massachusetts turnpike. It had NJ manufacturer plates (Jag's US HQ is in Mahwah, NJ). It looks FABULOUS in person. Pics do not justify this car!

Actually Ian Callum designed the Aston DB7 and the Vanquish as well, so I never understood how they came up with such an impersonal shape, in dire contrast with the splendid contemporary interior. And 20" wheels are too big on that car, especially with basic suspension settings.
