Face-lifted Clio is set to close its mouth in the upcoming version, according to pics published in French magazine AutoPlus. These spied pictures show differences such as a cooling slit above the license plate, different headlights in both front and rear ends. However, the bumper seems to have survived the surgery and stayed in tact.

Engines stay the same ranging from 70 bhp to 200 bhp for the RenaultSport Clio, as well as going up to 105 bhp for the diesels. It can be bought this year already, and should make its first public appearance at Paris. So what’s the hurry? Peugeot’s 207 is having it all on its own out there. Only 3 and 5 door hatches, and not the new GrandTour will be affected.

no please ! current one is so nice, and they want to destroy it with this stupid grille-less front which makes the car look like a toy, great job!

Hmm, you haven't followed his career too closely, have you? He has done a great job to turn both around and there would certainly not be cars like the 350Z around if it were not for him.

blah This magazine has been around for a week or so, you should have focussed more on the massive scandal related to police corruption and illegal radar/fines on the road described there in. About the Clio, it looked old when launched (be it planned obsolescence or because it is built in Turkey or w/e). At least now it's gonna look up to date, ugly or not.

Apparently you need thicker glasses. How about the big aperture under the bumper??

I love Renaults, but they really are starting to look like Nissans now. I'm not too sure what it is that's changed; maybe it's the simpler front ends..? For me, the last decade has seen Renault lose the utilitarian/straight-forward charm of the R5 and Twingo, instead aiming for bland sexiness.
