I love this car. My guess would be that if LR stayed in Ford it would share a platform with the Ford Kuga, but I am unsure what happens if Tata takes over.

This would have to replace the freelander, there isn't enough room for them to have both in production.

In what way? In terms of market, this is a soft-roader to the more practical Freelander in the way that the RRS is a posers version of the real Range Rover. In terms of factory space, they'll find room if they think this will shift in the sort of volumes the RRS managed.
