I was expecting that load of crap to cost like half the price of the original. This must be a joke.

You see what they're doing here? It's really rather clever -- they're designing products that will blend in easily on European roads with a fraction of the safety and performance of actual cars. This, combined with a heavily discounted price (keep in mind, the Noble is a 4-seater and therefore can't be compared with the ForTwo; likewise, the second-hand market will be giving them away like single packages of condoms) will ensure relative strong sales for the firm as they sow their seed, so-to-speak. In doing so, the Chinese are effectively selling out the safety of their first few unfortunate customers in exchange for the quick growth of roots in these European markets. A few people die unnecessarily and the European automotive industry suffers serious indignation, but it is all a small compromise made by the Chinese car manufacturers who are only looking to make a profit. =)

whatever happened to plagiarism laws to protect design intelectual property? the only loser here is the law of the land where its sold. is there no protection for the designers who create the original designs that the Chinese rip their ideas off from?

this is just a bit pervers. And yes, the chineses are shameless in copieng designideas. But are they to stupid for own creations? I whouldn't compare them to Hyundai or Toyota 10 years ago. Maybe they had some european aspects, but this here is a forbidden copy! And a very expensive to!
