Ferrari S.p.A income hit a record run in 2007, with €1.668 billion / USD 2.42 billion revenues recorded for the year. This number represents a 15.3 percent jump on 2006.
Profits were €266 million/ USD387 million, up 45.4 percent on 2006, thanks to brisk sales of the F430 and 599 GTB Fiorano. Maranelo says a total of 6,465 passenger road cars were delivered to buyers across the globe, averaging roughly 25 per working week.
The Asia-Pacific region, where more than half the world lives, was the growth leader, albeit from a small base, with 47.2 percent rise, with the Middle East region registering some 32.3 percent increases in sales. In the US sales typically average between 1,500 and 1,800 units per year. Scuderia alone has an order book of 500 in the US. Latin and South America got a hold of 90 Ferraris in 2007, while China, a potential top-5 market by 2013, imported 177 vehicles. The top 3 countries for Ferrari are Italy, Germany and the UK, in that order.
Fiat Group seems to be on a feisty roll at the moment, with most units firing through all cylinders. Their Formula One team is on top again, proving this by winning both the Driver’s and Constructor’s Championships for 2007. They look like they might repeat this feat again this year.
