Hot on the heels of Ford’s clean sweep of the podium in Rally Sweden is this special edition Ford Fiesta.
Produced in conjunction with Ford M-Sport and a British Ford dealer Stan Palmer Ford, the Ford M-Sport Fiesta TDCi builds on an already capable Fiesta Diesel Zetec S. What could be more fun than whizzing around corners and saving the planet, well in this machine you can do both as the vehicle comes equipped with 17-inch anthracite multi-spoke OZ alloys and a frugal turbocharged 1.6 L TDCi common rail diesel engine.
The engine, internally known within Ford as the DV6, can be tweaked from its standard 99bhp to a useable 120bhp for an extra £500 while still only sipping fuel at the rate of 64mpg or 118g/km on the combined Euro cycle.
The interior hasn’t been ignored either. Swathes of alcantara and leather fill the interior and lots of little M-Sport touches and inserts can be found inside the cockpit.
Unfortunately this vehicle is only available through British Ford dealer Stan Palmer Ford, and only 50 units will be produced at the reasonable cost of £13,495 sterling. Best be quick then.
