Hummer is preparing to launch the H3 Championship Edition later this year with an expected base price of under $40,000. Powered by the same 300hp 5.3L V8 engine found in the H3 Alpha, the new edition features numerous off-road improving upgrades such as an off-road suspension package, fender flare extensions, rocker panel protection, under-body shielding, and a black brush guard.

Setting the Championship Edition apart from lesser H3’s is the exclusive ultra silver metallic exterior with matching grille, red brake calipers, 16 x 17.5-in aluminum wheels, and a special hood decal. Those wanting a little more luxury in their special edition will want to checkout the options list, as the interior comes standard with cloth seats.

i'm guessing the alpha version didn't do much to increase sales. somebody better tell these idiots that if this is all the better they can do, don't bother.

I don't think of it as a smaller, more economical version of the H2. Rather, in my mind, is more closer in genetics to a Chinese knockoff H2.

Ha-ha! Must be a bunch of Heep lovers. Hook an H3 5.3 up to a Wrangler unlimited back to back and the H3 would pull the Heep inside out, and then turn around (with a much shorter turning radius) and eat it.
