2.0L Engine Doing Wonders

It has been quite some time since the release of the wonderful Audi TT-S at Detroit last month, and so it's time to wake us up again with this promotional video that has just caught our eyes.

If you would like to see the vigor of the re-engineered 2.0L engine pushing the car to its limit, this video has it; or at least some parts of it. We are well aware of the specifications of the car, where the base-line TFSI engine accelerates the car from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds and the top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h.

The video generally shows what would happen if both the car and its driver are given complete freedom to burn rubber on roads and desert lands. Driven by two enthusiastic men taking their turns, the 350 Nm of torque from the engine is physically evident through various hot driving scenes, together with the upshot of magnetic ride adaptive damping system that gives optimum handling under any road conditions.

This new 2.0L should do great in rally racing.

Instead of stopping to look at the mountain, they should have stopped to look at a gas station, then turn around with out filling up to play some more.

This car for girls? haha You should quit smoking dude, any girl but perhaps Danika Patrick would be way happier with a stock 2.0 or 3.2V6 Roadster.

the Audi TT has been generally regarded as a chick car, due to its small proportions and small engines in comparison to other production Audi models. That being said, even if its the smallest audi available, I would drive it without fear of the feminine label.

That could be partly true for the old model, bearing a crappy platform (Golf IV/Beetle) and in the US. Now things have changed, and its great handling matches wicked looks. As for "small" engines, there's isn't a direct correlation between fun/performance and size, rather the opposite, since the modern direct injection 2.0TFSi version has proved to be as fast as the 3.2V6 and way funnier to drive being significantly lighter. Take the Lotus example: the smaller Elise supercharged with a 1.8 liter engine could beat a 911 Carrera S any time. Is that to be considered a chick car? Some ppl need to grow up more likely hah.
