Sounds great, if it looks like the illustration and is priced to compete with the MX-5 it should be a great success.

Not a long time ago, Alfa said that all Alfas except Junior and 149 will be RWD. So Duetto will probably also be RWD, they just need to get the right platform.

i think they are dillusioned in thinking that that they can make it stateside. they cant even get things up to scratch here in europe. its a luxury marque apparently, yet theyre dealers dont care about their customers as they dont care about the cars theyre selling. what a joke. sort the problems here in europe before you inflict pain across the pond.

What the hell are you talking about?! Alfa was bad like 10 years ago! Not anymore I know many people who own Alfas, all they can do is praise everything, including the customer service! You certainly seem to know nothing, or have extremely outdated views!

really?
you only have to read how their customers in the uk are treated to see they dont give a shit.
when you pay thousands of pounds you should at least expect exemplary and outstanding levels of service. i get it every time with lexus.

hmm.. I am not sure about the UK.. But elsewhere I know that the customers are very satisfied! And yer Lexus Customer service is outstanding, I too have a Lexus.

Lots of people thought the same about Maserati in the US ... now look at them. If Alfas are sold through the Ferrari-Maserati dealer network, and they apply the same build standards, they should be a success. The crucial questions are price and customer service. For a 4-cylinder Duetto, it should compete with the Miata and Solstice/Sky in price and performance. Its trump card will be Italian style.

As long as they don't repeat the pitiful errors commited on the Brera (off centered steering column and deficient rigidity) it's certainly going to be winner.

This article incorrectly states "In the movie, Dustin Hoffman???s character, Benjamin, almost fails to prevent Elaine from getting married because of a fuel gauge that did not show the fuel level correctly." His running out of gas has nothing to do with the fuel gauge and if anything, the movie portrays a young man's desperation speeding to prevent a wedding and running out of gas, not a malfunctioning car. When the movie was released the reputation of Alfa was not tainted. On the contrary, it was riding high on it's still recent enough racing victories and heritage.

Hey, you guys don???t now the real meaning of ??? true Alfa owners!
You have to know mechanics (meaning you have to have problems with the car).
You have to wash you car on your own (meaning that you don???t want some guy to scratch you beauty)
You have to have style (meaning you don???t want to drive regular and practical designed car)
???etc etc???Simply if your are not one of these people, bye a Toyota with 7 year warranty, take it silver so when the carwash boys are scratching it you want bother, be unstylish and unmodern like all Toyotas are and drive ?
