Toyota engineers have been quietly at work on a minor facelift for their Yaris small car. Today we caught the new Toyota Yaris on the road for the first time, but maybe more interestingly also almost undisguised. The current Toyota Yaris has been on European roads since late 2005, so the refresh comes in a timely fashion.

The changes are so minor that no masking seemed a more efficient way to not attract attention to the car, but our eagle-eyed carparazzi catch everything. The front grille is updated with newly shaped air-intakes and a smaller grille than the current version. The rear features newly laid out taillights, while the overall shape remains the same.

We are also expecting some minor alterations to the engines on offer, mainly to improve fuel efficiency.

Agreed!

Well actually, have you tried driving one! Don't know how Toyota do it, but they really take the enjoyment out of driving. Who are the morons world wide that actully buy one?

Well, this is nothing new... it's been on sale in Japan for a while now:
