According to the Italian newspaper La Repubblica, Maserati does not want this new car to be named a Maserati. Pity, since the Cinqueporte, a project from StudioM and Studio Torino, the creator of the Ruf RK Coupé, is just gorgeous and would not be possible if it was not for the Quattroporte.
The car has not been created so far. These images, as some may have already perceived, are based on 1:4 scale model of Quattroporte’s shooting brake. Anyway, it will turn into a real car, whose owner is already waiting for it. The Arab customer, whose name has not been disclosed, has already bought other shooting brakes based on Ferrari models to use them exactly for the purpose they have been created for: hunting. In this specific case, in the desert.
Although the engine will be kept the same (and it is already powerful enough), external changes will be noticeable. Besides the new rear door, instead of the regular trunk, the car will be painted in mother-of-pearl white, while its columns will be black with gold particles. The front end will receive a new bumper, more aggressive, with larger air intakes. With foldable rear seats, the fuel tank in the Cinqueporte will have to be moved (in the Quattroporte, it is placed right behind the rear seats and takes part of the trunk cargo space). That would be a problem in countries with more strict safety rules for homologation, but not in the customers’ country, what will save him a lot of money. Not that the guy is concerned…

WTF!
lol that car looks better then the quattroporte and maserati doesn't want it to be branded a maserati.
If something like this make into production...Then the designers from Studebaker Avanti Wagon needs a come back!!!
WTF!! is right .... i mean this car is so ugly!! quattroporte is beautiful and i am sure some variant of 5 door is possible to design but this is just down right ugly!
awful design, awful looks, nauseating, they should make it look more like a coupe to smack the cls in the face
Maserati had plans of a SUV. This guy should better wait for it...
Shooting brake? The name copied from the Audi's shooting brake concept. Shame shame shame.
The term is "Shooting Break" - why does no one get this right?
Nah the original term has always been "shooting brake" eventhough it later changed to "break" in some countries to designate a different concept (five door estates meant to carry family or goods instead of hunting gear).
And it hasn't been stolen from Audi - Shooting Break is a term for station wagons that has been in the use in the UK for an age. There was an Aston Shooting Break in the 80s, but the term was in use many years before that.
oh, I'm a big fan of the Quattroporte. It's my absolutely favorite! But this wagon isn't nice and the design of the saloon isn't a good basic for a shooting break.
Other's were better, the Ferrari 456 Venice for example
It looks quite weird, not well integrated with the rest fo the car. Vandenbrink concepts look much better in my opinion.
