I got used to its ugly face and i don't still find it ugly! but i would never call it beautiful or nice! Just ugly..

Even in AMG form it's still a seriously uglier car than it's predeccessor. Why spoil a beautiful car just cause it's been around a while. It's like the last Hyundai Coupe, lovely till they did the twin light facelift then... I still have flashbacks ; )

its growing on me... but i never thought it was ugly in the first place though - it just didnt do much for me when i first saw it.

I like it. I liked it when I first saw it and i still do. I admit that I'm a bit of a mercman but still, I prefer this to the old one. I think this is excatly what sl needed: More aggressive face. Old one was too shy, boring and oldfashioned. After all this is a sportscar, eh? Espicially i adore the new grill! These new AMG models just look so vicious and aggressive. Love them! Espicially the 65... New rims look cool too. I like the way merc is going for sure.

You know I have to agree with you!!! I really this car and I bet its even better in person. I was waiting for 63 engine in the SL. but I was also waiting for the Airscarf as well, there have been many nights that I drive with the top down on my benz, the butt warmers cranked up and the heat on high and shoulders, neck and head were cold cant wait for delivery, I place an order for one and hope to one of the first's in southern cal to get it YEah Me!!

I think the previous model was visually more appealing. I also think that MB has missed an opportunity to differentiate the AMG cars from the standard models with more distinctive styling. The standard cars could be more attractively styled (think Luxury) and the AMG models could be decidedly more aggressive (think Sport). Exclusivity is missing when you charge $180,000 and your car looks pretty much like a standard model.

I have to say, just saw the interior of the 63 it made me wet and my nipples hard. So freaking hot. I do agree with Benzian that there is not enough differnitation, between the AMG models but like my favorite saying in life, IT IS WHAT IT IS !!!!!!!

who ever says it's ugly is a haterrr and pathetic looser , i'm not a huge fan of benz , but i'm sure in person every one will be turning their heads around just like on the cl63's , no one looks at m6 or m5 , awesome cars , i love them but boring as hell visually , love the 63 with that bumper more than the 65 keep up the good work benz

SL is my dream car, previous model always a turn my head for me, it's the best car design. But this is ugly, the front just look weird, they should update the back as well, well S is no longer using those pretty old back lights. sigh, what a big let-down...

the treatment at the front is just horendous. those lights!!!! UGLY. it doesnt know whether its sharp and bold, like new mercs, or cury and elegant like the previous design language. but i suppose that what you get when you facelift a model to come into line with the new corporate design language.but it is still surprising as when merc does facelift models the styling changes are usually a lot more subtle, more work goes into the usbstance not style.

i agree these lights make the car look stronger , the round lights didnt look as agressive i don't understand how you people don't like it , i mean sl350 , 550 w.e but the amg is super hot
