Why sometimes the badge in this car is on the hood (like on the first pic), and sometimes on the grille?

The pics with the badge on the grille belong to the facelifted version and that's what US market will get. I don't know why they have included the previous version. Connect is produced at just one plant (Kocaeli-Turkey) and we wouldn't be able to see some offsprings from other mfg plants.

If they are going to import the Transit Connect to America, why can't the US have the new European Focus? It's been on sale here in Europe for 3 years yet the Americans get some hideous facelifted MK1.

Patience! :) It's on the pipeline too. Turbodiesels and all engines in general have to meet US06 or FTP 75 emissions cycles for US market. So, calibration and engine set-up requires time to change the vehicle from EU stage 4 & 5 to US-specs.

this seems like the perfect platform to perfect hybrid technology. I am surprised that Ford does not offer it with this vehicle. Couriers and other delivery vehicles contribute at least twice as much to CO2 emmissions and consume nearly 3 times as much fuel per capita than the regular joe who drive to work and from work.

What is the approx dimension from behind the driver seat to the inside of the rear doors? In other words, how long of an item will fit on the floor?

ralphie - the spec data on the sev-us.com website says 81" (6'9"), but that's the lengthiest bit of the rear floor, so I guess it might be a tad less if there's any curvature in the rear door sill. But long enough to sleep in ;o)
