it looks like the front and rear axles are moved forward, and the interior is somewhat an A8 interior, but with cloth seats?

btw: below the MMI terminal there is the new Audi Drive Select control unit(individual configurations for the engine, gearbox, steering and adaptive shock absorbers like as introduced in the new A4/A5 series)

Looks like a mule for drivetrain-testing without hints for the A7s designs. Audi just used an A6 body and some interior materials they had around for the testing of basical drivetrain functions.

Good comments guys .... youre pry right !
It is an A8 interior though, but why not with cloth seats ?? Its a different kind of climate control though, the A8 has different knobs and 2 displays ( for both sides ), thisone has only one.
I wouldnt have spotted the Audi Drive Select control pantel , but now i see it.

The interior pic is from a different car.
Look at the side picture of the A6 mule. You can see the chrome ringed passenger door handle high up on the door. The interior picture shows a non-chrome outlined door handle much lower down in the door. Perhaps the A7 is being tested in A6 and A8 mules?

Sigh....the interior of this car is strictly a mule...nothing special. The reason for cloth seats is for comfort, possibly for the cold weather were they are testing plus the seats very well may still be in the design process, and all this model shows us is the prospected wheel base, and ride height. I can't wait till we do get a A7 skin on this frame tho

Audi interiors look the same to me. Pretty soon, it will feel like eating chicken cooked the same way for supper evety day of the year. Too bad they no longer have the best interior, that 'trophy is now held by Lexus. Maybe VW should ask Bently to help out Audi, especially with their boring steering wheel.

You seriously think Lexus interiors are good? You do know that it is just a glorified toyota interior don't you. After all toyota and lexus are one brand in essence. Lexus interiors are tacky and dated, very unimaginative as well (the exterior is similar in that sense too). There is no way that they hold the trophy for best interiors; that is a laughable comment. Their interiors are built well, but that is all.
Audi interiors are superbly crafted in terms of design, ergonomics, quality and materials used. Anyone who has been in an Audi should be able to relate to this. As to your comment with the boring steering wheels, that?s pathetic, lexus steering wheels are like a wooden stirring bowl. The three spoked Audi steering wheel is excellent to view and hold, especially in S model guise with contrasting stitching to the leather. The RS steering wheels are excellent as well with perforated leather.
And all the same? Sit in the cars before you make erroneous assumptions.

Every car fan has his/her own style. I like Audi's style much more, which never means that Lexus is bad. Let's just respect peoples styles..

Knocking down the recently-facelifted Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class will be no easy task for Audi. THAT'S RIGHT !!
