Radmeister, I agree with you in some things, but I see it from another perspective. From my point of view all the new car designs are afraid to draw a new line. For example the Germans are designing the cars like bricks, yes the have sharp edges but there everything is just in order like in your office.(Compare Porsche and Ferrari).Porsche is afraid to make some stupidity like in the 80?s with the design and is just redrawing the same lines over and over again(911 bible, but just cut the kreap and make something new, if I want a old 911 I will get it!) Ferrari for example every new model has new lines and is more and more attractive then the previous model.(When the 360modena was made, we?ve sad,-This is the best! But Ferrari again bingo with the F430).That?s what I?m talking about! Japanese don?t have modern design because of their philosophy of making the cars. KAIZEN method is good for the durability of the engine and other parts, but for the design is BAD. They just make the model, closed it like a project, and they make the tests for 3 years. After that the design is just old? Americans?.ahhhhhhhhhh! They are desperate. They make the switches for the air-conditioner with the size of a wheel 14??jhehehheheh. Megalomans , they only make the cars big big big. Everything is big! The engines, the wheels?the girils!But just see them now. Turbocharged family cars, economy of fuel, diesel cars, little cars?hehehe. For 15years I think they will not make Pick-up?s any more!:) I now also that the Italians are not making the most quality cars in the world. But I don?t care! Now days design is the only thing that?s for sale. Take the example just from the other parts of your life. The cell phones! Designs and designs! But poor quality. Washing machines, PC, VW(just compare Golf2?s and Golf5?s quality) ?.etc etc. In the car industry the design is selling also or the trend, the market is wanting that. In the well develop countries the trend of changing car is just getting lower and lower 4years,3years?change old for new. They say now days 2,5years. TOYOTA ,7years warranty! Guaranty for Quality?!
