The back looks a bit hanging, overweight-y. "Aggressive stance"? - where? The front looks rather harmless in this rendering and the typical GTI-ish look just isn't there. The wannabe grill doesn't work. The power output of 230 hp is available in the 30 Years Anniversary Edition of the GTI, if I'm not ill-informed. Same engine there with no mods? Would suck for the fuel consumption numbers. The whole area round the rear wheels looks crappy somehow. *shrugs* And: you wouldn't want such a "tame" rear bumper on a GTI Golf, would you?

Oh, I forgot: Why are there four doors in the rendering #3 (indicated by the four door handles), but just 2 "doors"? How would one open these "things"?

What's with these terrible renderings. The current models look nicer, and the front looks like a ford focus.

why debate an artist rendering? the rear taillights aren't even consistent between the two rendered photos

I think that they will make another boring design, for example SEAT Leon is mush more elegant and sporty. From the new Golf u would take just the new technology and put it in the Leon. I love the GTI, but again?Leon FR of Cupra?heheheh!:) P.S. I?m not from Spain?

i am seeing from these renderings of the new mkvi gti, i am not really impressed with the front end at all. even though they will keep the same bodystyle, i am not liking that front end.maybe volkswagen will do some last minute cosmetic changes to the front end before it reaches production.i am a volkswagen fanatic and i have never owned a volkswagen before, not even a gti, but i will soon get one.i have seen different renderings on the mkvi golf and i hope they will pick one that we will like. thank you

Can anyone tell me when volkswagen will be bringing over the mkvi gti into the U.S. and i also heard that they might stuff a new 2.0 litre turbo 4 into the new car that will increase the hp to 230 or possibly 240...can anybody confirm that ?

VW are starting to make good looking cars again, but I wouldn't get one anymore. I have a MK4 Jetta, made in Mexico and it shows, the door doesn't seal and springs came off the seats and the dealer wouldn't fix it under warrenty. Unless the new VW's are made back in Germany again get a nissan.

SEAT LEON is much better, and even more powerful(Cupra) than Golf GTI.
