Citroen have published a new countdown website to their international homepage, counting the hours before the French firm's unveiling of a new, presently unidentified model. The reveal is set for this coming Wednesday at 9am French local time and is rumoured to be either a C4 crossover, as spied earlier in the year, the C-Airscape Concept-based C5 Cabrio or the forthcoming new C8 MPV.
Spied back in April undergoing testing in the Arctic circle was a C4 with high ground clearance and following the recent trend for faux-4x4s, Citroen may follow suit in 2008 with a crossover version of their C4 five-door hatchback. But this is by no means where the reveal possibilities end.
Unveiled and well received at Frankfurt in September, the C-Airscape Cabriolet concept car, conceived to preview the production model C5 sedan, is quietly expected to bear a production model packaging the uprated quality of the new C5 in a fresh new bodystyle.
Rumours also point towards the upcoming third-generation C8 MPV as the car under wraps, the present model, developed in the platform-sharing PSA Peugeot-Citroen and Fiat alliance, having been on the market since 2002. A C3 Streetlounge model is also a possibility.
Be sure to check back Wednesday for the revealed new Citroen. In the meantime, you can browse our Citroen category.
