This is creativity of a second rate tuner. Sure the engine will be impressive but the styling is as boring as the Lexus LF-A's is refreshing.

6.3 litre V8 engine for only 525bhp and 6.0 litre V12 with bi-turbo for only 612bhp? LOL!!!

yeah and how much torque? these cars are heavy HP doesnt count for as much as torque. You think mercedes with their formula 1 technology couldnt build some lighter piston assemblies and crank and increase comp. ratio to get crazy hp and 50% of that number is torque, Do you know how slow this car would be up hill or off the line with 1000hp and 200lbft? Mercedes engines are balanced to serve a purpose, and that purpose is to satisfy the customer in that designated car. It has to be smooth, comfortable not twitchy, loud and vibrate.

1000nm of torque isn't even the native output, it was something along the lines of 1600nm when the engine was developed, the torque output had to be shaped because the car's traction control couldn't manage with that much power.
and btw rolen, how many cars today have a 6.3l normally aspirated V8 but can still whip out 525hp?

Thankfully the SL63 will be getting a different wheel design, but hey, at least Mercedes didn't make a sucky fake vortex like Porsche's 911 Turbos for the last three generations.

Those Porsche cloned rims seem to be 19" while the 63 is likely to mount 18" as standard equipment. Just a personal guess, but either way there's usually a variety of cool alternative designs within MB's optional range.

Those wheels look way too similar like to those on the 997 Turbo..The rear skid plate makes this car look a little unlike what a Mercedes should be. Only major difference besides that is the side vents..

i really don't understand what does mercedes thinking coming out with these wheels ? i love benz but wtf is with copying others sh**** ??? the rear looks pretty mean tho , i'm sure it'll be hot

I like the rims on the current sl55 and 63 Also I like the 3 piece rims you get when you buy the performance pkg, but I dont like the $14K price they charge for it!!!!!

the last real SL was the 560SL it was strong tight and a bullet with class. Now they look like saleen mustangs what a pity!
