Actor Rowan Atkinson, who is more famous with his movie name character Mr Bean, changed his yellow Austin Mini with Morgan Aeromax. Accident-prone Mr Bean bought himself a New Year present – one of the world’s fastest cars for £110,000.
The limited-edition Aeromax races from 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, and has a top speed of 274 km/h. The engine is V8 4398 cc, 333 Bhp @ 6100 rpm, 450 Nm @ 3600 rpm. The aluminum chassis has an amazing Batmobile-style gull-wing boot and is fitted 20-inch alloy wheels.
Worcestershire-based Morgan is making only 100 of the exclusive cars and Atkinson, 52, put down a £25,000 deposit to reserve his on the back of the success of his film, Mr Bean’s Holiday. The Blackadder star already has a collection of luxury motors including Aston Martins. But he hopes the Aeromax has better luck than his £650,000 McLaren F1. He bought the supercar to celebrate the first Mr Bean movie but wrecked it in 1999. He is famous with his bad luck. Just days ago, in 23th December, he crushed into Volkswagen Jetta when reversing from a parking meter in Aspen, Colorado.
