The designs are still better than the production version of 2009 forester, to me this production version looks like the Mitsubishi Outlander

I saw the same thing at first glance. I think they could have given a more adventurous design without so much copying from the Outlander or X3 design language. The 1st red sketch is cool, it looks more exciting, and the grille is better. The product grille links it to the new nose of the Tribeca, but it looks weak and poorly defined. Overall I love Subaru’s and would still drive the new one, at least the interior looks more modern and links well to the Impreza design language. All that's left is to take it for a test drive.

Subaru can't style cars to save themselves. There is no lineage in any of their models. This forester is another missed opportunity. It's boring as hell and has no soul. Look at the side profile; why does the nose have to look like a cross between an amphibious vehicle and a rhino? And the wheel arches suggest bigger wheels but they get filled with coke bottle tops. And what's with the extra crease above the wheel arches? Stretch marks ? Come on Subaru, you guys do the engineering (which I think is brilliant) and give the design to an Italian firm! Stop fumbling around in the dark.
