Plans of producing the world’s most expensive car continues with the selection of suppliers. For example, the $2 million supercar DiMora Natalia SLS 2 is the first automobile in the world to choose "HeatFlexx" heated frameless windshield wiper which will be standard equipment. The electrically-heated "HeatFlexx" windshield wiper was introduced at the SEMA and AAPEX auto shows and helps melting ice and snow that can build up on the windshield.

In addition to selecting suppliers, DiMora Motorcar announced it has begun work on the Natalia SLS 2 sport luxury sedan. It will be the world's first $2 million USD production automobile and the Natalia will feature dozens of innovations, most never seen before in a production automobile.  One such innovation is the variable-cylinder, aluminum DiMora Volcano V16 engine producing 1,200 horsepower.  Also, the car is equipped with four steerable 24-inch wheels running on innovative flat-free tires and the chassis and lighweigt body will use aerospace composites and structures.

Onboard there will be over 50 computer systems which control all the electronics including the latest state-of-the-art operational, navigational, computer, communication, and entertainment systems. Heating, ventilation and air conditioning will be zone controlled by each passenger and the parked car will be kept cool or warm for hours with the engine off. Further, there are some unique beverage holders able to heat or cool drinks. Also, for the convenience of the handicapped, the front passenger seat will slide to the right, rotate 90 degrees, and lower the passenger to the ground.

It was reported that Luxury Resort Villas, which owns at least 10 luxury resort estates around the world, has ordered a fleet of 10 Natalia SLS 2. The Natalia will be available for use by luxury resort home owners in Las Vegas, Hawaii, Tuscany and Dubai, among others locales. Surely, those heated windshield wipers will come in handy.

World's First Heated Frameless Wiper Clears Windshield on $2 Million Supercar

Von Stach Products announced today that its "HeatFlexx" heated frameless windshield wiper will be standard equipment on the Natalia SLS 2 sport luxury sedan, the world's most expensive production automobile. The electrically-heated "HeatFlexx" windshield wiper quickly melts ice and snow. The frameless design of the all-season blade provides continuous even pressure to the windshield, reducing streaks while reducing wind lift at speeds up to 150 MPH. The wiper was introduced at the SEMA and AAPEX auto shows in Las Vegas and is considered by many to be one of the most novel inventions in the automotive industry this year.

"Ice and snow have been a problem for drivers since the inception of the automobile," says John Von Stach, inventor of the HeatFlexx wiper. "With our product, drivers will no longer struggle with poor visibility due to poorly functioning wiper blades. We are thrilled to have our wipers installed on the Natalia SLS 2 and to be a technology partner with DiMora Motorcar."

DiMora Motorcar Founder and CEO Alfred J. DiMora noted that the vehicle will feature many unique innovations which have never been seen in a production automobile. "The HeatFlexx windshield wiper is a unique and outstanding product. We are pleased to be the first OEM to include Heatflexx as standard equipment, with its controls integrated into our dashboard/steering wheel operation." Mr. DiMora stated the goal for the Natalia is to be the most distinctive luxury automobile in transportation history.

The founder, CEO, and driving force behind DiMora Motorcar is Alfred J. DiMora, who produced two of America's finest luxury automobiles, the Clenet (as owner) and the Sceptre (as co-founder). He and the Clenet were inducted into the Automotive Hall of Fame in 1986 for the Centennial Year of the Gas-powered Automobile. He also co-founded Star Bridge Systems, which developed the hypercomputers now used by NASA and other technology leaders. According to DiMora, "The goal for the Natalia is to be completely distinctive from bumper to bumper—the most powerful four-door sport luxury automobile in transportation history. The Natalia will set the standard for 21st Century automotive excellence." DiMora further states, "I have drawn on my 30 years of automotive and computer expertise to design this futuristic vehicle, one that is safe, efficient, luxurious, nimble, and powerful."

As part of the production of this unique automobile, DiMora Motorcar will employ a first-time-ever approach for the auto industry—the world will watch the design, build, and test of the Natalia. Anyone with Internet access will be able to view this remarkable educational material via video-streamed webcams transmitting from the company's facilities. The DMC website will afford people the opportunity to comment on Natalia's design as it progresses and to submit their automotive innovations. DiMora states, "Many of the best ideas are created by individuals in their garages." Among the many ways DMC will entertain the followers of the Natalia's creation, DiMora Motorcar is planning to award prizes to thousands of people in a worldwide treasure hunt that will culminate with one very lucky person winning the grand prize—a $2 million Natalia SLS 2.

Quite an interesting study in car production. What kinda customer will buy it though? I also don't understand why it's so powerful when you clearly can't chuck it around corners like a Lambo, Porsche or Ferrari.

The specifications of the car are amazing, but none is suiting the other. Moreover, it looks like they designed the car in dark, and decided to go on with it any way.. I doubt they will sell 2 cars a year.. With all its technology,it will be a good example of worst investments..

What a stupid reason to build a car. Whats the point of making the most expensive car in the world. The price should follow the car itself. Of course to make profits, companies should set a certain strategic price range to compete with other makers, but the idea of building a car just for the sake of making it the most expensive car is pure bullcrap. Even the Veyron has a purpose, it is (or used to be) the fastest production car while at the same time retaining the throne of being the most expensive. Aesthetically, this car is hideous, and i would get a Phantom (which is one quarter of the price but many times better looking) over this any day.

Hmmm interesting when i read about the HeatFlexx i was expecting something cool like it zapps your windshield dry, but after looking it up all it is is a frameless wiper like the ones you can find at any automotive store for 20$ with a metal wire going through the rubber blade heating it.. WoW.......... 2 million dollars and thats the best they could come up with? Why not put a transparent conductor within the windsield itself, kind of like a defroster on your rear windshield? That would have been better. With the wire being on the wiper you have to worry about shorts from cyclical loading on the wire everytime you flip the wipers on there is a chance to fry your 2million dollar car.

Ford has been doing it for awhile, and it's really practical in winter, but under certain sunlight situations the inbuilt conductor could be slightly seen and it becomes... slightly irritating, eventhough it doesn't affect visibility per se. About the ugly facia, well, I want to believe it's just a provocation, and that they will come up with something more decent all the while keeping that eccentric american charm that made Stutz or Avanti desirable in the past.
