Mazda designs and sells tuning parts and accessories for the aftermarket under the MAZDASPEED brand. And usually its all about skirts, spoilers, alloys and stuff. Hardly any engine improvements.

I think you should not comment unless you know what you are talking about. Mazdaspeed offers lots of stuff: Brake kits, clutches, short shifters, TONS of suspension parts, limited slips, flywheels, intakes, and exhausts. It's not cheap, but it's there. Now go do some research before making an unintelligent generalization.

These are Mazdaspeed models, not the parts and accessories. So like the Mazdaspeed 3 and 6 now (with 2.3-liter DISI turbocharged DOHC inline-4 versus inline-4's and V6 in the regular models), these should be next-gen with different powertrains. BTW, Ward's 2008 10 Best Engines: Mazda 2.3-liter DISI turbocharged DOHC inline-4 in the Mazdaspeed3. I wouldn't say there are hardly no engine improvements!

No its 100% not! These are Mazdaspeed Concepts. A Demio Mazdaspeed is not the same as a Mazdaspeed Demio. The Tokyo Auto Salon is all about tuning and Mazda always has some tuningconcepts Last year they had the CX-7 Mazdaspeed and Mazdaspeed Axela MS concept: http://www.mazda.co.jp/philosophy/autosalon2007/ And in 2006 they had beautiful MS Concept line-up (the blue ones): http://www.mazda.co.jp/philosophy/autosalon2006/

Mazdaspeed is not any different from any other in- house tuning companies like TRD or Nismo. It makes exhaust, intakes, flywheel, clutches, brakes, suspension, body parts etc. Short of making an aftermarket turbo, I really don't see why you say they don't make any engine components. A flywheel is far from been a cosmetic piece!

I remember in Road&Track's SPEED Magazine there was a featured article about a supercharged RX-8 putting out 276hp that some of the people at Mazdaspeed were silently working on about a year or so ago. Mazda needs to bring on a Mazdaspeed version of the RX-8. they did the MX-5, Mazda3 and Mazda6. Does anyone know what gives?
