Out in the cold

Believe it or not (we tend to the negative) but this new Ford Ka prototype, which we caught during cold weather testing in the north of Scandinavia, is based on the popular, and oh-so cute new Fiat 500. If this look makes it to production, the new Ford Ka might just nudge the Aztec of its ugly-car throne.
But since no sane carmaker will actually make their car look like a bug (note the extruding bug eyed headlamps), we are expecting to see the Ka be styled in the new Ford Kinetic design direction. The look will be a lot more modern than the retro-styled Fiat 500.
Under the hood most will be identical to the Fiat 500, although we are led to believe that a Ford Ka ST is in the works, with possibly even an RS since Fiat is working on two Abarth 500's. The Ka will also be built by the same workers in Tychy, Poland.
