I agree...it's the E65. BMW have done well to get the cameras out on a model you can buy online. If underneath has new engines and they're 'hiding' it, why the hell would they attract attention like this? This truly is a pointless article.

Yes. It's right, most manufacturers use mules based on the predecent model to test the new one.

I thought it was more common to have test cars that are inconspicuous, this one seems to be the complete opposite - its like BMW was trying to draw attention to the car. I also like the fact that the gear shifter is being moved back to the center. Anyone know what the benefits (if any) are with that new electronic shifter they have in the 5 series and X5? Personally I'm not a fan of it.

yup, maybe a test mule. wcf should do some quality checks on their articles, some have included kinda weird interpretations for a few months now...
