Quattro Quarterly, sponsored but not run by Audi, has published an extensive list of what Audi's roll out schedule might be. Autoblog was first on its trail and posted the attached scan of the list. Audi really does seem to keep its word in regards to the amount of models they will have on offer.

A year by year lay-down of what to expect.

2008

Not big news here, so a quick recap. A3 Cabrio, A4 Avant, A3 facelift and Q5 will be making their way to dealers. In the second half of the year we should be welcoming the Audi TT-S, R8 with V10 engine and the Q7 Hybrid.

2009

Slowly the list is becoming more interesting. 2009 kicks off with the Audi A5 Cabrio, followed by the top-of-the-line Audi RS5 (Detroit debut?) and R8 Targa (Geneva debut?). Later in the year we can now expect the Audi A7 Coupe, the Q3 small SUV, a higher spec TT-RS and A5 Sportback. The WCF news crew can't wait to see the A5 Sportback, it may just become our favourite. The year ends with the introduction of the brand-new Audi A1, which has shown its face as the Metroproject Quattro in Tokyo.

2010

Audi will take the foot off the gas in 2010 with only three new models. But it will definitely be quality over quantity with the revealing of the new Audi A8 and Q5 Hybrid, followed later in the year by the new Audi A3.

2011

Life will be good in 2011, and we expect Audi sales to really go through the roof with the introduction of a brand new Audi A6 and A6 Avant with the A1 Cabrio set for release late in the year. But the real news for 2011 is the coming of the Audi A7 Cabrio and sporty R4, is it safe to say the TT successor? Whatever it will be, it will be hot and should sell like hot-cakes!

2012

Maybe a little too far in the future to really lay down concrete plans for, but Audi has an A4 facelift in the planning.

The list in short (check the attached image for production sites):

  • September 2007 - B8 A4
  • September 2007 - C6 RS6

Why isn't the B8 S4 on the list? Surely that would be one of the important models comming out. I don't understant why it isn't mensioned.

This "list" seems to have missed the upcoming facelift of the A6...expected to be public end of summer 2008

...and the RS8 is missing too. But I don't think, that Audi will really do, like mentioned

I could have guessed all of that.

Let the onslaught begin! Mercedes-Benz had better wake up from their current slumber party and come play because Audi and BMW seem set to take it out of the market. Come Merc, there's more to life than just AMGs!

amg and m, come out and plaaaaaayyyyy. when audi finishes the new platforms that'll make the quattros way less nose heavy, they should sue bmw for saying the ultimate driving machine. hell, do people stop driving in the rain and snow? bmw would have you believe that. in the real world, we don't always have hot, dry pavement to use.

I'm a bit confused by the difference between a coupe and a sportback, could someone fill me in?

I have never seen such an aggressive product onslaught from a manufacturer, with models that were actually this exciting. Although I don't particularly care for a few of them, it still deserves respect. I'm no audi freak, but its clear they are going to kick some serious arse in the coming years. Just when I was starting to thik WCF was getting lame with the bad photoshops they whip out this amazing batch. Nice job, Larson!

jerry: You sure about the renderings? Look at the 'A7 Coupe' thing. Pure Ford Mondeo moulded into an Audi.

whizz: get real in ever comparing an Audi with a Ford. they look nothing a like. Audi right now has some of the most consistent cross brand designs on the market and they have a direction unlike most companies now

Foose: No you plank, the artist rendering of the 'A7 Coupe' looks like a Mondeo. IT CLEARLY SAYS RENDERINGS BUDDY.

MB better watch out and this means BMW as well. Audi is coming strong even though I don't perfer them over the other two.

e36mmm, to answer ur question, it will be called R8 V10, and NOT RS 8 as some have reported.

rydamee, I think BMW already have xDrive in their cars, which apparently sells more than Quattro models.

New A8 in 2010 ? They must be crazy, the D3 started in 2003, huh

They normally have a 7 year life cycle on such cars as the A8, don't they? So I think 2010 sounds fair
