I think there might also be a 4.8 V8 twinturbo. I believe that engine has been tested for months now, due to be fitted into the next X5 4.8iS. Should be a stonker at over 380kW

This car is going to be used a new styling cues from Concept CS. The most important is M5 as well. I hope Adrian Van Hoodnyk, BMW Designer does design than Chris Bangle.

u must be kidding me. Van Hoodyk is the one who designed the ugly 2003 7 Series!

"Van Hoodnyk" isn't the new general designer and Christopher Bangle still leads the Design Studio.

This and the new Merc E-Class will be competing fiercely for market shares.

What was wrong with the 2003 7 series? i think that car does everything it's meant to do. The front is nice and square and aggressive and the back is rounded. Kind of like a rolls. The lines of the car are perfect in my opinion.

I'm glad to see BMW are still working on sedans. All that V-Series and X6 stuff is killing me. Sporting exec-class sedans with frugal but awesomely powerful diesels were a strength of BMW in the past. The current 5er has been a bit of a let-down in the styling department. This upcoming one shows some promise, yet the greenhouse seems overly tall in these pics. If "Andy V." and Bangle get the styling just right, BMW may again propel itself to the fore, where they belong. (At least I would be greatly interested in buying one...)

4 exhausts on a BMW can only mean one thing...M power to the people. This car is most likely an M series in the 5 range.
