One Question: What is this V-Series For??? It doesn't look as big as the R-Class from those pics. I looks more like a lengthen version of the 1-Series. I just don't get the point for this car. R-Class is not well worth MPV (as much as I like Merc I hv to say this) And this V-Series doesn't make a point either

Wow, BMW has gone through so much effort to keep this thing disguised. You really cant tell much by these pictures. Not one surface detail.

Not really 'unknown' many companies have emulated the iDrive since. It's not really intuitive but it's better than lots of buttons. I'd say they're not far from making it very good.

Not exactly an SUV, and neither is it a hatchback. It's a slightly elevated wagonnish four-five seater... Wonder how many people will go for one of these. I think it will be a better sell in Europe than North America.

It's sharing the same platform and underpinnings of the BMW's upcoming 7 Series. The interior is the same as the 7 Series. The bosses of BMW said the car designed for bosses who needs a family recreation vehicle.

I like iDrive. It's easy to use and has created a whole industry all on its own. I've never understood why people have a problem with iDrive. Have you seen Merc's new COMMAND? It is iDrive, even more iDrive than Audi's MMI. Check it out.

Man, BMW interiors (current, concept, and probably future) are hideous. They should take some lessons from Audi. I hate the way the dash is layed out. Missed the ones like the E46's.

I think BMW would do well to leave the R-class market alone. As a Mercedes dealer I must say that the R does not appeal to a big segment of the population. Most people are willing to spend the extra $10k on the GL just so it doesn't look like they are driving a wagon.
