Just over a week ago, Subaru released a peek-a-boo teaser image of the all-new 2009 Forester along with a microsite counting down the seconds. And now, scans of the Forester sporting multiple trim packages from scoop-crazed Japanese car rags have found their way onto Russian based Japanese auto enthusiast site drom.ru. With bigger dimensions in all directions, the Forester is looking more SUV-like instead of a boosted wagon with a raised roof. Engines available at launch include a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter flat-four with 148 hp and a turbocharged version making 230 hp. In Japan, not three...not four, but seven trim levels will be offered with three going to the turbo model. After its Christmas debut somehwere in Japan, the 2009 Forester will make its global debut at Detroit in mid January. We will be there... armed with Canons!
