Sweat more attractive Fords that Americans don't get...What the heck are they doing??? Ford is movin into the red cuz they can't sell cars and all i have to say is i wonder why

Shame on you Ford for not importing the Kuga to North America. If this keeps up I suggest selling all assets and closing shop.

I'm not loving the vents under the headlamps- one bit of the concept they should have dropped.

personally, i think ford america is selfish. just because they fail miserably at selling cars, doesnt mean places like the UK and Australia doesnt. so by Ford-USA sellinf of companies like aston martin, jag, range rover (all high income, luxry cars which show great rep and the companies 'power') it not only reduces their own 'place' in the car world, but dimineshes pther branches like the UK and Aus... theyre so stupid.

I agree with JayBono17- I often wonder if there isn't some way the successful European/Australian branch of Ford could separate itself from Ford USA and take the premium UK brands with it.

Ford Australia's sales of large cars like the falcon and territory are down due to tightening competition from other badges and a shift away to smaller more economical cars. Ford has planned to build the smaller ford focus from 2010 onwards whereas Holden Australia decided to open up to the world market and started selling commodores and monaros to the US and UK. If Ford America are selling second grade cars then doesn't it make sense to export to the USA? The shift to a global brand hasn't been adapted by holden but several other badges but it seems that Ford worldwide are absolutely clueless. I cant help that its a bit of that "American made pride" kicking in because any American made car we get in OZ is well and truly below par. I say if you cant beat them join them!

I agree with the above comments - I think 'global' ford should dump their american arm, retain the 'PAG group ex US 'lux' brands' and remain solvent - simple fix to a complex problem.. So obvious that even us who don't get paid for good ideas see it as a viable option

Let's dump Americans biggest icon (other than GM), that is a little drastic. There is a simple fix for all of this. The American staff needs to wake up and see that plastics and crappy parts is NOT what Americans want. Design is key! GM is finally waking up to it and just won car of the year. Ford better get on that train quick or else. Cars are too expensive to have the quality we get from them

It seems that 'american' cars are cheaper per GDP compared Europe or Australasia - is that the constraint american designers and producers have? doesn't mean cheap has to be ugly or undesirable.

It seems to me that the Big 3 have become focused on two things: Trucks (where the development money is) and cost-cutting-cars. Fusions & Edges are not bad looking but they lack cool stlying like foreign Fords or the competion, and I think that's because they focus too much on cost. I think the competitors are focused more on the product with the result of products selling better and at higher prices than Ford. I'd be more willing to pay the higher price for the Ford Kuga or Ford Mondeo (wagon) than I would Edge or Fusion.

I like the Ford Edge, but THIS CAR is beautiful. I would definitely be interested in purchasing this, if that was an option.

The Ford Kuga looks similar to the Volkswagon Tiguan. I own a Ford Escape right now and am in the market for another vehicle. I would like to stay with Ford's products and would love to own a Ford Kuga. I can't believe it is not coming to the US?? I think it would do very well here in the US! I also agree with the last comment from rickb.
