Haha, those funny japs now can buy the car for less because other the Americans pay too much for those Nissan"cars".

The price is not the problem, I'd pay double if I can get my hands on one. Your buying a car with history and people who know cars knows that owning a GTR old or new is an honour.

rofl you guys simply are puppets of the Nissan marketing-direction
November 21, 2007 12:15 pm
The same can be said about some of the overpriced germans that some people are willing to pay for the badge probably like yourself! Marketing genius isn't it? Also kind of ironic that Mercedes is pure genius when it comes to marketing that over the years their cars were plagued with reliability/electrical problems, build quality, and yet people are willing to pay for them. Unbelievable stupidity.

Im with Harajoshi on this one. Nissan has no history. compare nissan's first car to Mercedes-Benz's first car. So much copied technology. The Japanese will always make better cars than american cars but inferior to german cars. always has been always wil be.
November 21, 2007 2:27 pm
what do you mean so much copied technology. The last time i checked, Japanese cars were the pioneers of innovation, not German cars. There are many aspects of Japanese cars that make them much better than German cars, for example reliablility and service.

Kind of ironic that your name is hondaboy, isn't it? Also if you knew anything about cars you would KNOW that Nissan has a rich history in racing and building sports cars especially the Skyline. Go post somewhere else because you're an idiot!
November 22, 2007 6:29 am
Nissan has history, no doubt, for example with the Datsun sportscar, especially with the one designed by Graf Albrecht von Goertz (scheiss Verräter)

Why are you comparing the GT-R to MBs?
This is a sportscar. It's not built as impacable as Benz,it's no where near as luxury, it's loud and noisy but it dances on the track.
I bet you this car can beat anything in Benz or Bimmer's line up (except the SLR which is seven times the price), then you'll ask me why am I comparing them.
Silversedanman, i'ms ick of your s h i t.
I'm sure most people on here love Benzs and Bimmers, they're great car. But they don't need you defending them.

Nürbürgring lap times
7:35 ? Nissan GT-R (tested by MotorTrend magazine)
7.38 ? Mercedes SLR 722 GT
7.38 ? Nissan GT-R (official)
7.40 - Bugatti Veyron

Don't you know by now? hondaboy22 a.k.a. silversedanman has a huge gay boner for Germany. There's no use in arguing with a half-wit.
November 21, 2007 10:42 pm
indeed, never argue with an idiot, you'll lower yourself to his level and he'll have you beat on experience!
November 22, 2007 7:46 am
Of course this is an inferior car which will leave little to no mark in history unlike the likes of the M3 which is priced in a similar range. Of course the pioneers of technology in cars is germany with the patent for the motor driven vehicle, air bags, traction control, ABS, emergency tensioning devices, crumple zones, roll over sensor, independent suspension, fuel injection, panorama roof, smartkey, etc....
November 21, 2007 11:11 pm
ofcourse This nissan is inferior as an overall driving machine to german cars of the same price.
November 22, 2007 12:09 am
You name one german car under $100,000 that can run with this car. Dig you head out of your A hole and look around. you really neeed to get out more.
November 22, 2007 12:19 am
pc, good one.
I bet you anything hondaboy/silversedanman/German CEOs' bitch is just another 12 year old admiring German cars but can never afford one.
November 22, 2007 12:31 am
hondaboy22, you are one of the stupidest people ive ever seen. How can you say such retarded things when this article is about how successful Nissan's GT-R was. Nobody wants you here, everyone thinks you're retarded and you're only making a fool out of youself by trying to convince others about how you think you know everything about cars. [edit]
November 22, 2007 1:35 am
This car is sick, when the dealers start taking orders in europe and NA watch the #s go up. i predict 25,000 units by Jan 2009. German cars that can keep up with this for the price even american cars like the vette and viper cant touch this car on the track for the price, nvm quality and reliability. The germans have 1 hope, the M3 and if they somehow release a turbo Caymen porsche. Otherwise this car is next to the god of sportscars(exculding supercars) on the track the Porsche GT2.
November 22, 2007 2:58 am
haha awesome. First of all, thats a used car... to buy one new you would have to double the price of the nissan $136,900. And you also neglected the fact that the skyline is on par with Carrera GT nurburgring track times. As to technology and whatnot. Nissan's are reliable cars, the skyline is a high tech car with computer gizmos controlling every aspect of the car. The previous generation of skylines were known for their high tech computer engine monitoring systems and this generation is no different.

I do not understand why people like to attack personal basis! It make this play looks ugly with people like this.
November 22, 2007 8:08 am
michael.wcf..I take the liberty to speak for most guys on this forum. NOBODY likes attacking anyone on personal basis on this site. Most people here are car-crazy but there're a few that are actaully racists and prejedice. Some of the comments we made here (that you may have read recently) are only to let them know that we won't tolorate that kinda prejedism here. Believe me, it goes back awhile.
Most people here love to just talk cars..believe me.
This is a great site.

A guy says jap cars are no good, but calls himself hondaboy, tsk. Anyway the forums and the coverage speak for themselves, this gtr is sick (in a great way), just think back a few months ago, did the m3 get this sort of coverage, discussion and hype. I'm in Jamaica and I know a couple Godzilla's are coming here soon.
November 22, 2007 12:45 pm
I love it when people talk out of their a_s having zero experience with a car that hasnt gotten much farther than photos and a couple auto shows...
