interesting, i wonder how it will do in real world conditions. i just hope that when they say "better fuel economy" it means more than 35mpg although i doubt it. if it gets more than 35mpg i would buy one.

now lets hear the german readers "silversedanman, bluemagic" (you know who you are) tear down this vehicle just because it didn't come from germany.

pickup trucks are ofcourse a very primitive type of vehicle. they are basically only used in america and some third world countries. Virtually no practical use in todays urban lifestyle (most people live in urban now ofcourse). No german, british, italian, companies make them. Jap makes them to snatch hick dollars. european of course more civilized. generally it would seem the annual income of those who buy a "premium" pickup truck is lower than those which buy a premium german saloon or sports car. of course the pickup truck is slowly fizzling out of the modern vehicle lineup even in america.

totally agree with bluemagic- unless you actually need to transport old fridges there's no point to hauling aroung an extra few metres of metal behind you- you can't store anything valuable/non-weatherproof there so its wasted space.

well, i don't know about you, but i own an 05 dodge deisel to tow my weekend outlaw class dragster, and i also use it to tow my 35ft. mercury outbaord (my boat). and bluemagic i'm not a "hick" as your implying. i live in a dense metropolitan area, i own my own business and i am currently going to school working on my masters in aeronautical engineering. you say you are the more civilized people yet in every category/car/story you're the one to throw the first insult.

Notice of course how intolerance and ignorance make you look "retarded." Just because Europe doesn't have trucks doesn't mean you're more civilized. As foxhound pointed out, in America we actually like to travel around and pull boats behind our trucks because we actually have "nature" and "lakes" in which to swim and play and boat because not every inch of space has been used for cities. Sorry, this might be a strange concept.
