Here are the first Images(leaked) of the Second Generation 2009 Nissan Murano which will make its world debut at this weeks Los Angeles Motor Show, with the first models set to hit dealers early next year.

Nissan has gone to a great deal of trouble to keep the Murano under wraps. Our spies only caught first glimpses of the second generation last week, still dressed in heavy camouflage, which is a little surprising considering it is so close to its debut.

When the Murano was introduced in 2003 you could definitely describe the styling as conservative, but now we see Nissan adopt a much more aggressive look for 2009, the new grille in particular strikes the eye with a sportier design.

We find ourselves equally impressed on review of the heavily refined interior. TCC report a number of new features including a DVD navigation system with an incorporated 9.3GB music hard drive backed up with a Bose audio system. Other features include rear camera view, pushbutton start system, heated front and back seats and a power liftgate.

Come back in a couple of days when we expect official details to be released and a lot more photos.

Well, when the first Murano came out it was rather futuristic compared to its competitors (well, at least in Europe. When it wasn't official yet). You either loved it or hated it. See how this one turns out... Looks pretty weird so far :)

The original Murano was a stunning trend setter. No one had ever created an "SUV" that looked or drove like it. Except for the FX, but that doesn't count. The pictures don't tell much, I'll have to see it in person to judge the design. Acuras MDX and RDX look great in pictures...

They haven't changed the sides that much, but the front shows much creativity, something that current car manufacturers tend to neglec. Muranos weren't always bad looking cars.

Hehe, benz_man, my mom owns a Murano, so I got to drive it on several ocasions. Trust me, it's not a very good ride in terms of handling... But other than that, it's a very decent car, especially at its current price.

if Lincoln moves on with the projected grille then the nissan will just fit the family...

seems like they have a similar "face" crisis like subaru has

the frontend is kinda weird. Any idea why every automaker wants to intergrate and make the radio one unit with the center console? Does it have anything to do with making life hard for after market audio makers?

Cant say i care too much for the murano, didnt like the first 1 and this one even less, the front is soo ugly that grille doesnt fit at all. The interior seems nice, my only complaint is the positioning of the radio and gps controls, pointing up at the ceiling instead of towards the driver, i think its going to be a pain in the butt to use the navigation controls while driving or change the track on a cd.

I have the current murano and I love the car. As for the forthcomming model,it looks horrible. The front end looks like a mitsubishi or something. For me its good bye murano, I am moving to another brand.
