even though i live in america and am a fan of american cars, i don't care to much for this particular model. too much, too flashy (who need 22's?), to much hype. i prefer the MB SUV, or the BMW X5. over this, and all that power of the big v8 goes to waste, because the escalade is such a heavy vehicle. the X5 is my favorite SUV. if i had to buy one thats the one i would get.

I must say that the Escalade's not one of the greatest cars ever and this platinum edition's probably taking the car too far. I just don't think its price (the previous generation platinum was over 70K) is worth what the Escalade has to offer. This generation of Escalades have been a huge improvement over the previous one, but there is so much more potential for improvement, as the new CTS shows (althought it isn't flawless yet).

They could build a palladium edition it still wouldnt bring up sales or slow down depreciation. I would take a Mb G55 or Cayenne Turbo over this in a second, even a X5 4.8is wouldnt be bad :).

oh woe are we americans. the big three continues to self destruct. guaranteed resale value in 4 years will be 18-23k. soccer moms rejoice. this truck will be heavily obtainable on the used market, start the countdown.

haha Palladium. Escalade is WAY too conspicuous. GL550 if it were my $70K for 7/8 seats & towing.

In my point of view, i think its a great car ( coast and shape. If anyone want to compare it with Mercedes or BMW X5, the price of this car is very cheep.
