yea yea rolli just what the hell are you talking about. You're obviously just so jealous that your precious German companies weren't able to come up with this ahead of the Japanese. Just keep your racist and biased comments to yourself.

Japanese cars are basicly commute cars, they don't have rwd when awesome cars like mercedes benz do. So Japanese cars suck ass when german cars kick Ass

This is a good example to explain why people like ugly cars. It is all about Public relations and advertisment. For example the Lexus-sales did very increase after "Minority Report", where Tom Cruise drives a futuristic car of the japanese manufacturer (designed by a German). Or Audi sales increased after "I-Robot" and so on... You just should more think about what and why do you like it, otherwise you are just a puppet of big manufacturers or large corporations (or how do you call it?)... And so is this news, an advertisment disguised as a message. I would be happy when you buy german cars, but when you want to see us starving and begging, buy japanese.

I doubt that nissan is as far with this as they claim. In the article they are making bold claims, but no evidence shown, not even a proper picture or video. If they really were that far, i am sure they would proudly present their work. I do give them credit for this little idea, however they should rather focus on making a decent car to put the paint on.

"It may sound like science fiction, but first commercial applications of the technology are expected on the market as early as 2010, with Nissan having already developed a 'self-healing' paint." I don't see anywhere in this article that says nissan invented paramagnetic paint, only says they invented self healing paint. It doesn't state in any way who invented or patented this so y r u arguing european vs. jap?? for all u know it could be from india

The new GTR is ok. I was really hoping it to look like the concept. I mean the back of the car is perfect, make no mistake, but the front of the car hasnt got that look, that sparkle of its predessors. Oh yeh, the paint idea, Nice one, Good idea!

Do you even know something about JP cars?? Don't get me wrong my favorite car is German and I'm probably the biggest freak about it. But Jesus, are you in kindergarten? For the record, there are plenty of RWD JP cars on the JP market. Not saying these are necessary the same type of car as say a Beemer but RWD or not means nothing. On the subject, this paint thing, if it's true, I think it would be really cool. I hope someone brings it out soon.

to me the gtr looks just like any other today car. when the hell is any brand gone come out with something totaly new? something like never seen before something totaly different. the only ones doing this seem to be hot wheels, they do it over and over again time after time. so examples enough I would say. all there is to do for the big car manufacturers is to take one of those small model cars and build it in full size. but no, its like a car still has to fit into that same box again time after time. like self healing paint or color changing paint would make any differance to the dull model of todays car concepts. and if you cant make up your mind in what kind of color you want your car in than how can you make up your mind on the model it self????

Imagine pranking the owner. Paint a message in white paint while the car is parked, oh maybe something like, "I'm an Idiot!". With the paint de-energizes the message blends in, undetected. Then when the driver flips the switch, the hidden message is revealed to all the passing cars while the driver has no clue! What fun we could have... (imagination stirs)
