Cheap cars like this will ruin Mercedes' image. Sure they'll be good profits but why does Mercedes need another SUV, with the ML, GL, R and the G. This just shows how car industries are now doing all they can for profits instead of focusing on building better fewer cars.

I don't think it is cheap, but this strategy is needed in the international war of automakers, to survive against giants like Toyota, Honda, Nissan, GM or Ford.

Seriously, look at this car. Do you not see the resemblance to the previous generation Toyota Highlander. Mercedes has gone too far. Why don't they improve their existing cars to steal sales from competitors.

I think MB wanted this new GLK to target BMW X3, Acura RDX, Infiniti EX35, Land Rover LR2, Audi Q5 and etc.
MB probably thought all their current SUVs are too big to compete in that arena.

Well AZNMAN I think that there is nothing to ruin... IT IS ALREADY RUINED! There isn't much logic that a car like a CL 65 AMG and a A class diesel wear the same badge!

They're all great cars, and only dumb idiots would buy a car because it wears a brand, luxury loaded buy a million hours of commercials.

This GLK seems to have a 0.5 Cx coefficient. Air flows better around a brick for sure.
