Late night talk show host Jay Leno briefly left his stand-up comedy routine in L.A. to participate in the 2007 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show going on in Las Vegas. Leno, known for hosting “The Tonight Show” and having a passion for cars, showcased a vehicle he designed himself – an E85-powered Corvette Z06. The vehicle features a custom, 500-cubic inch engine that generates an estimated 600 horsepower and runs solely on E85. E85 is an alternative fuel composed of 85 percent ethanol, renewable fuel made primarily from domestically grown corn, and 15 percent gasoline. SEMA, an automotive specialty products trade show, runs from Oct. 30 to Nov. 2.
