when their finished with doing all that stuff, it sounds like it will be faster than a Bugatti veyron so if that happens all Ferrari will have to do is put on a few road lights so it will be road legal than Ferrari will have the fastest road legal car in the world.

Bugatti veyron is no longer the fastest production/road legal car on earth. The title goes to SSC(Shelby Supercars Company) Ultimate aero, it is official.

Who cares, I still would choose the Bugatti. You get a 1000(!!!)hp car (a Dodge Viper) for only 220,000 Dollars. And I'm sure, when someone would take the engine from a Bugatti and designs a aerodynamic car (which the Bugatti isn't) it would easyly top the max. speed of 407,000 km/h.

Dude, Bugatti doesn't know show about how to make a car. I mean c'mon, an 8 liter W16 with QUAD turbos and all they could get was 1001 bhp. It's pathetic. Not to mention they cost a wee bit more than $220,000. More like at least $1 million.

once again rolli has shat himself !!!
I see, you are an aerodinamics expert and the boys from bugatti are not, you have just confirmed your poor knowledge! Who cares, you say? Well the whole civilised world(except ignorant you) even the guinnes book of records so cut the crap untill you learn a thing or two about cars. It is not how much power you can cram into a car, but to make that car as agile as possible, to make it handle well and maintain much of its speed through the bends. There are experts who can confirm that, ask them!!!
October 29, 2007 2:46 pm
ROlly, i don't think you have driven that car either, 'cause if you would, then u would simply keep ur mouth shut. i have driven a venom 650 back in 1997 and it was the last time i was behind the wheel of a Viper. This car simply scares me. besides having a brutal power, this car has no rest place for you left leg other than a clutch, which makes it a very tense experience on the public roads. and if you want to take it on a track, learn to handle beat up 1986 mustang, the last one with the carburetor. Viper is made for an experienced driver and by reading your comments I think the only experience you are getting is by looking at those magic posters at ur parent's basement:) cheers

abu-fahd you got me all wrong. SSC Ultimate aero has 1187 horsepower, and is the fastest road legal/production car.
I was referring to rollis idiotism concerning putting veyrons engine in a different car, if you look at Nurburgring records you will see that the ten fastest cars are (super)light:Donkervoort, Radical SR8 .....
Of course that 860 is less than 1001, chilldren know that!
As far as you are concerned rolli, I have not driven veyron or 1000 hp viper, but niether have you, so stop bullshitting!!!

what an ugly car. no wonder these jokers can't beat porsches on nordschleife
October 29, 2007 7:11 pm
aesthetics have nothing to do with a car's performance. Everyone knows this.
November 1, 2007 4:37 pm
you are a jocker!they are beating porsches,an every competition they want.stupid american

I respect every car as a great result of human culture. I just want to what the Ring-time and the 0-60mph time of this strange car is.
October 29, 2007 9:08 pm
the porsche gt2 with tiptronic accelerates faster than Ferrari and has faster Nordscheife times. It can also be used to drive to work 365 days a year.
October 29, 2007 11:43 pm
This Ferrari will certainly beat Bugatti in every category, but the top speed...you can't even compare those two cars, nor use them in the same sentence. As you may or may not know, when you push a start button on the FERRARI, you get all of 860 horsepower at your disposal. Where as, not exactly the same thing with a bugatti, it has two ignition keys. when you turn one key, you only get 500 or so horsepower. This car will be too heavy with this amount of horsepower around the track, it will simply loose time to slow down and then accelerate back to sufficient speeds. however, You can turn the second key and get this magic number of 1001, but again with this sheer power it will simply spin out of control. Ferrari, on the other hand is a track proven workhorse that is simply the best in the world. everybody wants to be IT.

Wow, way to instantly assume that the Porsche GT2 accelerates faster silversedanman when nowhere in this article are acceleration, top speed or lap times given.
October 30, 2007 1:39 am
And the Porsche GT2 can't be driven 365 days a year if you live in colder climate with snow. The 911 turbo with its AWD could possibly, but it I dare to saw it's no where near fast as this car. Porsches are great, that's why I have one, but if anyone has any sense or opportunity to drive a ferrari it's on another level. Completely different beasts that cannot be compared. But I know silversedanman will probably never have the chance, so he wouldn't know. Besides what's up with you and the fascination about tiptronic acceleration? Good post m555david!!! For me I cannot wait for the F430 Scuderia! You can keep your GT2.
October 30, 2007 4:03 am
thanks Ferrariguy, I, too personally cannot wait for scuderia to come out. I have driven eurospec (no traction control) ferrari f430 around the track at indy 500 and there are no words that can describe the feeling. Enzo is a marvelous car and we only were beaten by 0.01 sec on the straight line acceleration, which makes in my eyes f430 worth every penny. Aside from this, i drive a german car and personally think that they are designed to be driven within the limits. when comparing to Ferrari most german cars are dull, even lambo is not even near ferrari levels. but then again, Germans are stiff and orderly people that like to follow the rules, so as their cars. Italians on the other hand, are loud, hot tempered, hell they even speak with such passion that hand gestures are unavoidable. So to me, when they build a car (ferrari) this car speaks to my heart and my soul, not my brain. sound of a ferrari engine is all the music that need to hear to relax and enjoy myself

And Rolli, you would pay 220,000 for 1000hp viper? I would perfer a GT2 over that anyday!
October 30, 2007 4:08 am
When it is cheap horsepower you want, like all the people admiring the Nissan GT-Gay, you are right with the Dodge Viper. My dreamcar is (don't laugh) a carbonfibre VW K????fer from 1950 with a Bugatti-engine in it. In black.
October 30, 2007 8:18 am
ROlly, this thing will not hold on the ground...given that it is a vw made out of carbon fibre??? u kidding right??? or the laws of physics don't apply to you?
October 30, 2007 6:16 pm
Ferrari is a toy. Porsche is a car. Why do I have the right to say this? Because I am German and we invented the car, which gives us the right to define what a car is.
October 30, 2007 10:01 am
congratulations to m555david & ferrariguy for posting intelligent comments, makes a nice change from all that adolescent rubbish.
