Since it was first launched in 1982, 10 million Corsa models have been sold throughout Europe and over 18 million worldwide. Corsa was the best-selling car in its class in Germany from 1995 to 2001. Opel also celebrates the 20th anniversary of its Corsa GSi, presented for the first time at the 1987 Frankfurt Motor Show. The new Corsa GSi, presented at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show, is powered by a 150 hp turbo gasoline engine, can reach a top speed of 210 km/h, and drives from zero to 100 km/h in 8.1 seconds.
