While I do not agree with what you say sir, I'll defend to the death your right to say it!

I think this car has a lot of potental, but why is there no option of a manual?!?!?! The Japanese cars are getting more and more sterile....

Hahaha, I bet "silversedman," is the kind of guy who thinks all the Bangle bimmers are "beautiful," and a work of "art."

Whatever people say about styling, it is one of great technological achievements as a cool hardware. And the biggest emphasis, I would like to put is its cost per perfomance, though current exchange rate is bit too positive for export market. (Nissan officially announced that the price would be latter half of JPY7mil., or less than 70,000 in Japan.)
This can never be achieved even by a German car maker owned by Quandt family. (ref. recent Businessweek)

I agree that this car is a technical achievement but it just looks bland to me. I wouldn't get this car simply because it has no stage presence. No one will notice you make 60mph in 3.5 seconds.
Now that I look at it more, it looks like a mistubishi eclipse.

The cars weight is 3705 lbs, not 3075 lbs; as such it quite heavy and my only complaint about this otherwise great machine.

i thought the exterior was really ugly and was hoping at least something special for the interior but eventually it looks like it came off a lorry. tech masterpiece but with that kind of weight and turbo lag, this is just another ugly pig on steroids. again, numbers sell and this is what this skyline is all about.

"Now that I look at it more, it looks like a mistubishi eclipse." I actually think its more of a Celica effect at the front with a big black patch, quilla_b. The car will create hype up to and upon its release. People will be in a flounder, as they are, with radical statements like it is "better" than a 911 and "faster than a 911". Just as we've seen with such cars as the Corvette Z06, etc in the past. Sales will be relatively mediocre. The hype will blow over as it did with the Corvette and other such vehicles, and Nissan will discontinue the car within 5 or 6 years, and we will never hear of it again. Until Nissan attempts again. Quality will always win. The 911 will be the bench mark for sports cars and these clown copy-cats can never win in the real world no matter what their little statistics are. Even saying that, the GT2 with tiptronic is of course faster 0-60 with 3.4 seconds. This gt2 continues to be the fastest excelerating car for sale since the Bugatti Veyron ceases production.

If this car lives up to the hype, and so far the early
reports agree. This car will change everything. This
is the 1st credible supercar from Japan to US shores.
If this car is more reliable than it's counter parts,
It will not only sell well, other Japanese companies
as well will join the Supercar Arena. The Pacific rim
car fans have been waiting for this kind of car for
years. There is a generation hungry for something different in high performance cars. I think the GTR
will not only fill that role, it will change the Supercar market the way Honda and Toyota changed the
main stream car market. Can't wait to drive this beauty they call the GTR!!!

IS IT JUST ME THAT FINDS THESE NUMBERS A LIL HARD TO BELIEVE?
0-60 in 3.5 sec with all that weight and only 480hp? HOW IS THAT POSIBLE?
Most of the top end cars which are much lighter and have more HP sit around 3.5 to 3.8 sec. HOW DOES THIS NISSAN DO IT?
Lets take the Carrera GT as an example.. carbon fiber frame, V10, 600hp and lots more ... 0-60 3.7sec!
You cant tell me that with Porsche's race history Nissan would know better.

Silverseamen, facts speak for themselves !!!!!
GT-R did Nurburgring in 7,38 seconds
911 turbo, veyron and SLR did Nurburgring in 7,40 seconds, so face the truth and stop with primitivism. There is a movie shot from inside the car that proves it, so cut the crap about german supremacy!!!
