Ahura84, site admin at Mazda-madness.nl, has created an interesting impressions of what the new Mazda3 might look like. Although convincing, Ahura states that the impression's biggest flaw (design speculation aside) is the rear end as it appears too short - knowing the real Mazda will grow in size. Incorporating the design of the all-new Mazda6, the impression does a great job of translating the styling cues to the smaller Mazda3.
Due in 2009 the new Mazda3 rides on the next-generation global Ford Focus C1 platform. The current 2.0 liter engine is expected to get a slight power increase and the excellent 2.3 liter 4-cylinder gets bored out to 2.5 liters for an additional 30hp. Both engines will receive direct injection.

seems a little weak in its tautness. too slippery and not enough of an edge. i hope its not the real thing. by 2009 this will be a little boring.
Its a good impression based on the Mazda MX-Crossport. But its not realistic for the real deal
i relly admire the architecture between pllars B and C . that nice windshield rake would really cut the amount of frontal drag . . . that's good !
Really sweet that my name is mentioned in this newsitem but I haven't made this impression :) Its from a Japanese magazine
