I would really love to know what Lamborghini's designer think about it... Now I know it isn't only China copying...

Headlights aside, it has nothing to see with a Lambo. Very nice, but the steering wheel would need some cleaning...

Germany is the world's largest producer of sports and luxury cars.

What are you talking about? The back is the best part. It carries its styling heritage from the Skyline, who said anything about a corvette? The japanese have a poor sports car market, yeah true, but they are very skilled at being efficient designers using as little cylinders as possible with maximum power and high resale value... Ya DiiiiGG??

People like silversedanman are just pure racists. They can't handle an awesome car not made by aryans or eurpeans. The GTR is proof the Japanese can make awesome cars for much much less. Its a winner.

I don't know why silversomething is posting that everywhere, but I don't think it has anything to with racism, I can understand him... The car looks absolutely ugly, the interior is a joke, but that's typical for a japanese car. But the performance... and the price! Not bad, not bad at all. Indeed you get cars with that performance for less in America... In Germany you can buy Volkswagen Fox with 600hp for only 50,000... 0-60? 2,9!!!

being a designer i will comment on the rather dissapointing aspects of the design and those are the headlights, and the interior. my heart sank when i saw the pictures.
im having second thoughts about going to japan. and this is coming from someone who adores Nissan. i sure hope the images are not doing it justice and it is actually better in real life.
cant say im not a little down today though.....

The design is simply a question of taste. I personally like it. The rearend is a good hommage to the R33 and R34 and a interesting part. The front reminds to some new Mitsubishi-cars.
About the Cockpit: it's nice and sporty, but there are to many buttons!
All in all a great new japanese sportscar. And yes, I'm even afraid about some comments before. Let a german give you advices in being tolerant!

Ugly, you guys haven't seen ugly. How about the whole entire line up of bimmers, maybe with the 3 series coupe being the only exception. I don't even want to start with the 5 series, that is the king of them all, interior or exterior, but I get it, it's from germany so it doesn't count. Give me a break!

Design is a question of taste. The Ferrari 599 GTB. Some people love it. I hate it. I think the GTR looks awesome and very purposeful. I like the interior too. Some Eurocentrics can't handle a company like Nissan coming up with a technical knockout and selling it for less. Will be discussing my reservation seat with the dealer this week. Long wait but well worth.

I honestly dont see what the problem is. The only thing I could see wrong with it is that it resembles the G37 coupe, but Nissan has always been guilty of sharing models... I dont think it's a bad look at all. I think it's time for people to start moving forward with design and lets let the past be the past. Ya DiiiGG??

Maybe it was a question of taste, but not on this, it is the ugly. Maybe I'm European and can't imagine driving with that piece of shit around highways and the beautiful fatherland... ancient castles and old roadways don't match to japanese cars. This car belongs to Tokyo, nowhere else.

Silversdanman is moron. Firstly, it is arguable that Nissan isn't even a Japanese car company. Not only is 43% owned by Renault but the top management is also European. Secondly, what freakin market is this for? I believe it's for guys between 17-25, whose car budget is under $30K, what German car hits that market? Perhaps Volkswagen, but the VW's here in the US are made some place in Mexico, and they keep breaking down. So German sports cars are inferior at certain price point.
October 19, 2007 2:10 am
Well no. Just because Renault owns 43% of Nissan doesn't mean poo. If we follow this logic then Lotus is Malaysian, Lamborghini is German and Aston Martin is American. The car is Japanese. Credit where it is due please.
October 19, 2007 10:31 pm
Actually, aston martin is english since it returned to its homeland, and Lamborghini is a italian company with german ownership and you can clearly tell that the gallardo uses german philosophy while building it therefore I think it's more german. ;) I look at it like the car company is japanese, but the owners are european making its roots part euro/japan.

Rolli, you're either racist or a VERY insecure individual having a car decide your "manhood!" Very funny and typical eurotrash attitude. If you live in the states I advise you to leave the country. We don't want people like you here!
