Although available in Canada, it appears the Mercedes B-Class MPV will not make it to the U.S. amongst concerns of deteriorating USD/Euro exchange rates as well as negative brand implications as Mercedes-Benz, a name associated with upmarket premium cars, introduces a vehicle down market.
Nonetheless, the B-Class is going strong in Europe where Mercedes-Benz brand image has greater depth. Here are the latest spy photos of the B-Class face-lift taken near Mercedes' Stuttgart headquarters. The face-lift includes a revised front bumper fascia with new air intake holes, side mirrors with integrated turn signals and modestly revised rear bumper fascia. Mercedes latest fuel and diesel engines, which produce more power yet consume less fuel, will naturally be included. The B-Class face-lift is expected to launch in spring 2008.
