Staying true
A daring OntarioStreetCar.com reader armed with a camera phone (wake up manufacturers, everybody has a camera phone these days!) snapped three images of the upcoming Dodge Challenger at a dealer announcement show in Las Vegas. Whether this is an adjusted concept or the real thing is not exactly clear but either way its promosing and just plain good. Even if this is an updated concept, it clearly shows that Dodge is staying true to the original styling of the concept.
We have scrutinized the images (with some help from the photographer) and spotted the (invisible) B-pillar, revised tail lights, slightly revised rear bumper (inch longer due to safety regulations) and a boot spoiler which probably means the pictured car is an SRT version.
The Dodge Challenger SRT8 will be going on sale in March as a 2008 model priced at USD38,000, with the rest of the range following as 2009 models. The first batch of 5,500 units will all be SRT8's and will feature the T-56 six-speed transmission. We are hoping to see the official reveal at SEMA or LA.
