This is a good sample of collaboration between material provider and a car maker. CFRP for car-use is almost ready at Toray, and Toyota/Nissan are naturally good users of it, better customers than Boeing for Toray. Furthermore, 500cc engine is probably used only for recharging battery, so the car is series hybrid with plug-in recharging system. This is the format for cars realistically appearing in very near future. Forget about fuelcell, more costly than CFRP, for the timebeing!
