As excitement begins to build for the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show, local big guns, Toyota, add to the mix by announcing today that they will be showcasing two concept vehicles under their Lexus luxury brand. Following the L-Finesse design philosophy, the LF-Xh specialty SUV concept is equipped with a V6 hybrid engine and all-wheel-drive. The exterior design is attractive particularly with the chiseled front end. However, the LF-Xh concept, which could represent the next-generation RX SUV, appears to be somewhat low-key. Perhaps Lexus is saving all of the crowd pleaser details for show time.
The second concept is the much anticipated LF-A sports car. First unveiled in Detroit 2007 this latest version will show the LF-A with a more street-friendly appearance. As the first Japanese V10 supercar to finally give competition to the Europeans, hopefully, Lexus will also divulge some solid performance numbers. So far, we only know the LF-A will be 500+ hp with a top speed of approximately 200mph.
