The second generation Buick LaCrosse will be the first US model to use GM's new global front-wheel-drive Epsilon II platform. Which is probably why GM has big locks on the thick camouflage on the prototype when engineers are not around and two round-the-clock guards to stop us from 'keeping an eye' on them eventhough tests take place on public roads. These tests are short lived too, about 10 to 30 minutes at a time, but we still managed to bring you some quality shots.
The LaCrosse just recently received a facelift for the 2008 model year but that hasn't stopped GM to plan the start of production of the second generation Buick LaCrosse at GM's Fairfax facilty early 2009 only to appear in showrooms later that year as a 2010 model. GM is aiming to sell between 65,000 to 75,000 units annually.
