These are the first official - although relatively poor quality - snapshots of Honda's 2009 Fit supermini, surfacing some five weeks ahead of its Tokyo Motor Show debut. Branded in some international markets as the Jazz, the new-generation model inherits sharper, sleeker lines than its predecessor with further accentuated headlamps and grille, while a partly-backswept D-pillar and what would appear to be a wrap-around rear screen sporten the rear.
Inside, a prominent multifunction display dominates the dash, although given the rather more stylish predecessor's cabin, it'd be a pity if European-spec Jazz models and US Fits don't receive different treatment. A panoramic roof is also revealed in these leaked official photos.
Expect US Fit sales to begin next summer, with the Jazz also arriving in European markets from 2008. Stay tuned for official information and photos.
