Almost ready
One of our spy photographers caught the upcoming, all-new and almost undisguised Mercedes-Benz C-class Sport Coupe out in the open in Sourthern Germany undergoing some road testing. The current model underwent a facelift in 2004 and is rapidly approaching its end of shelf life.
The Mercedes C-Class Sport Coupe almost got axed but thanks to new Daimler boss Zetsche the sport coupé has been revived and will be making it to the Mercedes-Benz range in 2008. The styling is completely new but the underpinnings are based on the current C-Class platform, just as it was in the previous generation too. The C-Sport Coupé will have to compete against some strong and established rivals, namely the BMW 1 Series Coupe and the Audi A3 amongst others.

Oh yeah, think of driving one these around on an island, the fresh air from the sea, a nice girl beside you...
I think it looks like shit. They changed the front end, that's ok it has always looked good anyway.the crap thing is the rear end. They kept that stupid shape. These are the kind of things that will make me wanna be a BMW fan.The 3-series coupe is beautiful, this car won't match it's looks.Really,I'm dissapointed!
if you look closer at that picture of the rear end you can see that the interior air conditioners are from the previous c class
I think this ain't the proper car - maybe a test mule, because they can't keep that same back shape and interior.
I have the current version and apart from the front bumper, wings and bonnet and rear bumper, the middle section is the current car. Possible change to the clear section on the rear of the hatch to stop the distortion in the current version. The interior looks like the current one, too so either it is a minimum cost update or it is simply a test mule using the main shell of the current car, the latter I would hope.
